I keep getting an error after running "scf/scannow" stating that I
need the Windows XP Professional CD2.  How can I fix this?

from what I can gather this is a 'bug' or error affecting (mainly) Dell
computers with XP-MCE pre-installed. Just insert the operating system
disc that was supplied with your PC and System File Checker should be
happy with that.

If that doesn't work you cannot use the SFC utility with your
installation of Windows.
