Network dosent work can not renew IP AddressNetwork dosen't work can not renew IP Address I keep getting 0's and it says
it cannot connect to dhcp server. My internet only works using a USB connection from my modem to the PC. I spoke with 10 differnt Tech's from Charter and two Repairman from charter came looked at it and can't figure it out, I went through all the settings I can think of and replaced the Nic card, cables, tryed 4 differnt modems. Power cycled the modems unhooked and recconected cable. Relased and Renewed the IP and no luck I can ether get a 169 or 192 IP or 0'S It wont renew the IP. the settings are on automatic detect. I dont have a clue what eles there is to do to fix it the issue. Please Help! Running XP Hard wired Broadband Have you check if there is a new driver for the NIC?

I spoke with a local Tech repair shop today annd he told me to download Winsock XP Fix program, No luck with that either. I'm even concidering Reformating my Computer. Show quoteHide quote "Robert L. Page would help to check the Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/debug.html If every thing checks OK then either the network card is a Goner (try an other card), or the Ethernet out put of the Modem does not work.
