IE7, don't want to ie open a file with the corresponding program.Hi all,
I use ie7, when I click a bib file from within ie using the following url: http://prola.aps.org/export/PRB/v69/i9/e094306?type=bibtex the IE will open this file by JabRef. But I want to this file be opened with IE itself. What should I trick IE for me to do that thing, at the same time, the bib file will still be opened by default with JabRef outside IE? -- ..: Hongyi Zhao [ hongyi.zhao AT gmail.com ] Free as in Freedom :. Hi
IE opens a URL, the URL can be an Internet page, or a files saved in few formats that IE was disjoined to open (Like, simple text file, few graphic formats etc.). If the kind of file that you are looking at was not designed to be opened in IE there is No way to open it unless the producer of the File provides you with special plug-in. Maybe this can Help, http://webscripts.softpedia.com/scriptDownload/JabRef-Download-43475.html Jack (MS, MVP-Networking) Show quoteHide quote "Hongyi Zhao" <hongyi.z***@gmail.com> wrote in message news:5l2pm4t8torr61gdfdepoc32lbkm98pl36@4ax.com... > Hi all, > > I use ie7, when I click a bib file from within ie using the following > url: > > http://prola.aps.org/export/PRB/v69/i9/e094306?type=bibtex > > the IE will open this file by JabRef. This is not the case I want, i.e., I just want it be opened within ie instead of by using the JabRef even I've JabRef installed.
