USB bridge cable connectionI have trouble in connecting 2 computers with a usb 2 bridge cable. In one of
the computers (pc1) I have access at all the files of the other computer (pc2), but in this one I was not able to access at no one of the pc1. In both computers I establish the sharing mode to the directories. I don’t understand the issue so can you help me…It seems to me that is not a question of firewall since it still happens when I disable it. Thanks. Check with the anti-virus software. I am not sure about USB transfers but some anti-virus software will block the access of the "other" PC via PC name (\\PC1.) However, they will let you access via IP address (\\192.168.0.1.) Hi
Hopefully you are not using a regular USB cable with two large plugs. You need a special cable like this, http://www.buy.com/prod/transfer-cable-for-win-vista/q/loc/101/204332853.html The cable comes with Drivers that install Network connections. http://www.ezlan.net/direct.html Once you see the network Connections in the Computers Device Manger you configure the Sharing. Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
