streaming problemI have my xbox 360 networked with my pc so i can stream films and watch them
on my tv. I have a removable drive [G] where i keep most of my films but the 360 can't seem to read/find it any more. It'll work ok and stream anything that's on the pc itself if i turn the removable drive off, but as soon as i turn the drive back on it stops working. WMP is set up to monitor G among other folders and it was working fine the other day. Hi
You have to make sure that the drive is On and always get the same drive letter. It might be that some time it is G: and other times it uses another letter. You can use the Disk Management part of the Computer Management Windows to assign a Hi letter to the drive so that other drives would Not push its letter in and out. Like give it the letter N: for Network. By doing so it would stay always N:. Do not forget to configure again the File sharing after you assign a new drive letter. http://www.ezlan.net/example/dsk_mang.jpg Jack (MS, MVP-Networking) Show quoteHide quote "kaloochi" <kaloo***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1B06A74F-26F7-4CCA-8FA9-A7957730BF0F@microsoft.com... >I have my xbox 360 networked with my pc so i can stream films and watch >them > on my tv.
