i have XP, and randomly a few days ago my computer stopped being able to
connect yo my browser. I say it that way b/c i play an online game, World of
Warcraft, and i can log on and play online via that no problem. i just cant
figure out why my browser doesnt work. I've used Mozilla almost exclusively
for about a year w/ no probs until now, but ie doesnt work either. I live w/
a few roommates, so we have cable internet w/ a wireless router, but im
connected via ethernet cord.

srry my info is muddled

once when i was living with my roommates (we also had cable internet) my
internet stopped working for some reason and i couldn't figure it out,
whatever i tried to do on my computer to fix it didn't work
but then i restarted my computer and it started working again because i have
norton internet security and norton had to allow my computer to join the
network again
so if you are behind a firewall and haven't restarted already try to restart
and see if your firewall re-joins your network, or just see if you can mess
around with the firewall settings

other things you can do are typical ways to reconnect:
start | run
type in: cmd
type in: ipconfig /flushdns
hit enter
type in: ipconfig /release
hit enter
type in: ipconfig /renew
hit enter

and you should get an ip address
