My PC has XP home sp3. I used to have VPN connection to my work place.
Recently some thing went wrong an d I am unable to establish a new VPN connection. When ever I try to establish the VPN connection, it shows up in dial up section and does not work. As suggested by somebody in this forum I enabled/started the remote access connection manager and then tried again but of no use. What's the VPN error code?

Thanks for your reply. There is no error code. The new VPN connection that I create shows up under dial up and when I try to connect using that it tries to dial the IP address as if it is a phone number and nothing happens. I have done the telnet port.... and Event viewer. I will do them once I reach home. The server is an apple vpn server. By the way I have two other computer (laptops) one with xp home and the other with xp pro. There is no probelm with those computers. Its only the desktop that has this problem. "The device 'RAS Async Adapter' (SW\{eeab7790-c514-11d1-b42b-00805fc1270e}\asyncmac) disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal. I could telnet 1723. The error code is 633 when i try to connect to the vpn even though the system treats it like a dialup. Thanks Sezhian Show quoteHide quote "Robert Wolfe <"robert"@wolfe+n+wolfe+e" wrote: > Robert L.
