For PCs with multiple cores (dual or quad), how can the utilization of the
respective cores be monitored ?  Task Manager seems to provide only an
overall CPU utilization percentage.
Thanks,

Process Explorer from SysInternals (Microsoft) can do this.
http://live.sysinternals.com direct downloads
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/default.aspx

On the View menu - select System Information and check "Show one graph per
CPU"
