I keep getting a message that the Active X control must be adjusted. I cannot
even find out if I have it installed in the first place, and directions for
installation are impossible to follow

You need to provide a lot more detail. How are you connecting? Using what
program? Quote error messages exactly, without paraphrasing.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

In addition to Malke's post, please provide more detail as to what you're
connecting *to*. For example, are you using Remote Web Workplace in MS Small
Business Server? Do you have WinXP SP3 installed? If so, you will need to
manually allow the Remote Desktop activex control to load as it will not be
permitted otherwise.
