We have a network which has two PC's on a domain network of Windows SBS 2003
R2, each workstation (one a Desktop, the other a laptop) is being blocked by
a Firewall when installing HP software for its scanner. HP has said numerous
times to disable the firewall.

However, on the workstation, the option to disable or to enable is grayed
out. Any idea as to how to turn the gray off and give us (me) control to
either enable or disable the firewall.

When I click on the option to do this, it's states above:

"Windows Firewall is using your domain settings."

Please advise?

From the Description:

If you enable this policy setting, Windows Firewall runs and ignores

Connections\Prohibit use of Internet connection Firewall on your DNS
domain network" policy setting.

If you disable this policy setting, Windows Firewall does not run. This
is the only way to ensure that Windows Firewall does not run and
administrators who log on locally cannot start it.
