File sharing problemHi,
I have a PC & laptop connected on crossover local network. Both machines are running XP home with all updates installed. The PC is connected to the internet. The laptop is communicating with the internet through the PC no problem. I have enabled file sharing on both machines. The laptop can see and access the PC files and transfer files no problem. The PC is not seeing any of the laptop files and i can't find out why. I have disconnected both fire walls and can ping the laptop from the PC but am just unable to see any files. Anyone got any suggestions what to try next!! Dabbler Dabbler,
From the laptop - try going to my computer/right click - then select manage/shared folders/shares/then double click both Admin and C$ files to share the folders on the laptop. Say ok to pop-up window and close out properties box that comes up. Hi kristina
Followed u till "then double click..." No "Admin" in pane, list of Shared files there..but double clicking does not do anything!?
