Can I (later if necessary) downgrade from IE8 to IE6/IE7 ?At the time when IE7 was released there was no way back to the old IE6 once IE7 was installed.
Now I ask again: Assume I use currently an IE7 or IE6 and I upgrade to the new IE8 can I downgrade later back to my old IE6/IE7? Or - alternatively - can I run IE8 and IE6/IE7 in parallel ? Lorenzo Lorenzo Palmer wrote:

You never did look inthe Add/Remove Programs applet, did you? All you had to do was uninstall IE7 to go back to the prior version of IE that was on your host. > Now I ask again: Assume I use currently an IE7 or IE6 and I upgrade to the new IE8 Now I say again: Just go look in the Add/Remove Programs applet in> can I downgrade later back to my old IE6/IE7? Control Panel. > Or - alternatively - can I run IE8 and IE6/IE7 in parallel ? Nope unless by parallel you mean under different instances of Windows, like one on your real host and another inside a virtual machine (which makes for an excellent place to trial software). Note: Your FollowUp-To attempt was ignored. If your post was appropriate (on-topic) to the groups to which you cross-posted then the discussion is also appropriate there. Stop being rude to participants in those other group by misusing the FollowUp-To header to yank away the rest of the discussion. If your post was off-topic for the microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web group then you should not cross- posted there! VanguardLH wrote:
