Hi,

I have a proxy server which provides internet connectivity at my office. Is
it possible for me to connect to my PC at home through this proxy server or
vice-versa?

I configured the PC at my office according to the instructions at the link
below: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/northrup_03may16.mspx

But on accessing my office PC through internet I got the following error:
"  Proxy Encountered Error
Connection Timeout: Could not contact the remote server. Possible causes
include mistyped URL, transient network problems, overloaded remote server,
and misconfigured proxy server.  "

Can anyone please help.

Is it possible the proxy server has a policy to block port 3389. Can you
telnet remote pc port 3389?
