IE8 occasional address bar is missingHi,
I have xp pro with sp3 and all updates. I recently updated to IE8. After the install, I noticed that very often when I launch the internet, the address bar is missing and instead I see the background of my desktop. If I quit the program and restart it fixes itself. I have uninstalled IE 8, reinstalled and the same problem. I uninstalled IE 8 and IE 7 same after the reinstall. Is there a way to fix this so I dpon't have to launch the internet 2 times to see the address bar? Thanks, John I have this exact same issue and when the address bar is missing I cannot
open anything in a new tab either, the option is grayed out everywhere. If I close IE8 and reopen everything does go back to normal, too.
