Remote Desktop over wirelessI have a 2003 server with approx 20 machines attached to the domain.
I have a laptop that is connected to the same domain but wirelessley through an access point. If i try to remote desktop to the server from the wireless laptop it sits for a while and then fails. If i attach the same laptop to the network via a cable the remote desktop works fine. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks Almost certainly firewall rules treating it differently because wireless uses
DHCP whilst wired (probably) uses a static IP in a different range. If so, the resolution is to reserve a DHCP slot for the laptop's wifi-adaptor MAC address. Then create a firewall rule for this single IP address. all attached PC's are on DHCP lease. Does your resolution below still stand?
