new DSL, exception processing messageI just installed DSl from Quest and keep getting an exception processing
message , C0000013 parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c and it wants the CD inserted. I've tried running through the CD again but I still get the message. It ask to Retry, Cancel, or Continue. Any of them gets rid of the window, but in a while its back. Any ideas how to resolve the problem? -Is this a USB modem? If so, drill a hole in it so it can be screwed to the
floor. It will then serve as a doorstop. Which is about its only useful purpose. Seriously, these USB modems are nothing but trouble, especially with the drivers causing crashes and bluescreens. An Ethernet (or wireless) modem/router unit is what you need. Ethernet routers need no drivers, just connect to a LAN port (which almost every PC has these days) configure via a browser, and use. Any ideas how to resolve the problem? It is an Ethernet conection.

Any ideas how to resolve the problem? "connection software" supplied by your ISP. What are you trying to do when you get the "exception processing message"? And what is the text that comes with the message? See if any of these suggestions help: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_I_remove_exception_processing_message_c0000013_parameters_75b6bf7c4 -- Lem -- MS-MVP To the moon and back with 2K words of RAM and 36K words of ROM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Guidance_Computer http://history.nasa.gov/afj/compessay.htm The CD is the installation disk that Quest sent me. The exception message
pops up right after booting up and any time randomly after that. The only text is what I stated in my first message. I tried the wiki answers you posted. Clearing the List didn't work. I don't have QuickTime. My A: floppy seems to be working fine. I haven't been using any usb or photo sticks, but I have down loaded pictures from a new camera. How do you turn off Windows indexing? I don't have a realtek audio device. I upgraded my Norton last December. I'm not sure what usb pereph. are. I do have 2 hard drives and the event viewer has shown some warning and error messages for the older drive, something to do with a paging opperation. My system restore is also not working. I've 10 different event ID #s but haven't had time to check them out yet. First find from Quest what type of Device you are connected to. It can be straight Bridge Modem, or combo Modem/Router. Each has a different procedure to connect to, and in most cases it can be done manually No need for CD at all. Quest should have the info pertaining to your specific contract.
