acces vairous pc's on a networkI have a small network of 4 workstations and one pc that acts as a
printserver and file storage. the problem i am having is with some of the workstations, that have been restored using Dell's recovery CD's. Briefly if i try to navigate to these PC's via network neighborhood, i am prompted to log in as a guest and cannot change that user name. The other PC's prompt me with a blank log in box and i can at that time type in the administrator credentials and browse the PC as the admin. What is the process to correct this problem with these newly restored PC's. Thanks in advance S

Hoping that this is XP Pro, you can simply disable SFS and use a properly activated administrative account. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/file-sharing-under-windows-xp.html#Advanced> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/file-sharing-under-windows-xp.html#Advanced -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
