AAAAUGH! I can't get the spyware out!

Whenever I go online, I randomly get ads popping up usually in the default
browser (firefox). I have tride many spyware removal programs including
Spybot S&D, AdAware, and Windows AntiSpyware. Usually, they say that there
is no spyware on the computer. I try to update them every time I run a full
scan. sometimes Spybot will ask me if I want to run a scan after a restart,
but When I do restart, the program doesn't run. Can anyone help me?

Have you tried your scans in safe mode without networking? Not all popups
are caused by spyware? Some are quite frequently blended threats. A useful
method is to locate the files needed to be removed to clean the malware from
the system and to then do so manually if you're able to.
