Windows XP cant join domain (box greyed out)I am struggling to connect one laptop to our domain. Have connected over 20
desktops and laptops, but this one refuses. The option to change either workgroup name or domain is greyed out - all details there, just nothing can be changed. Have complete administrator rights Windows XP Professional All updates - including network drivers Clean of viruses and spyware Flummuxed IT department and support contractors! Any suggestions other than a clean install greatly appreciated Active directoty probelms are often related to inability to locate or
identify the master server. Check your TCP/IP settigns carefully, particulalry those relating to DNS. If there is more than one network adapter, make sure that the one linking the domain-controller is highest in the binding-order. Oliver Whiteman wrote:
