Problem sharing external hard driveI am attempting to share an external hard drive between two peer to peer
networked PCs. I have Windows XP Home running on both machines. I can share directories between the two machines fine. When I attempt to share a folder on the external hard drive, I receive the following message: Not enough server storage is available to process this command. I looked the error up and read that it may have something to do with a Norton setting. The document that i found said to update the registry and change the settings of the IRPStackSize value. I tried that, but I am still getting the issue. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could try to get around it? Thanks! In article <25802AAE-2F41-4F27-8587-AEAC2B729***@microsoft.com>,

Did you do it on the right computer -- the one that's attached directly to the external hard drive? Antivirus Software May Cause Event ID 2011 http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;177078 Un-sharing and re-sharing the drive might help. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
