Wireless connection problema wireless network. We also use IBM Access Connections to manage various connections and Zonealarm for firewall, antivirus, antispam, etc One of these laptops will simply, without warning, simply lose its connection to the network and will not recover. The truly interesting thing is that, in all cases, it can "find" the access point - it simply will not find the DHCP server. Manually assigning an IP address does not fix the problem I have tried: -Using a different wireless NIC (works for a while and then same problem) - Removing and reinstalling the NIC/Driver - Removing IBM access connections, and using XP's configuration (something expressly forbidden by IBM support) - Removing and reinstalling IBM Access Connections - Removing Zonealarm The sporadic nature of this is making me nuts. For the most part, but not always, it happens at approximately 3PM. There are no scheduled tasks that I can see for that timeframe Anybody with an idea how to debug this ? Many Thanks JM On Wed, 21 Dec 2005 08:25:03 -0600, Jim Matthews wrote:

I don't know how to debug it, but that may not be necessary, as there are some common causes for this behavior, perhaps most prevalently Winsock corruption. You can use http://winhlp.com/ to find the solution. Hans-Georg -- No mail, please.
