ethernet controller missingMy girlfriend's computer picked up a virus and crashed. They wiped the HD
and reinstalled all the system software. I had to go in and reinstall some of the drivers that I was able to find on disk (i.e. display drivers) but I cannot seem to find the ethernet controller anywhere. Can anybody offer me some assistance? Is there a place to download the controller online? Also, the processor doesn't seem to be working as fast, but system properties correctly lists its speed. Is this problem possibly related to the ethernet controller issue? In article <653023D0-D40D-4968-81A5-FB9607C51***@microsoft.com>,

Did the computer come with a driver installation disk? Dell computers generally do. If so, load the driver from the disk. Is the Ethernet controller built into the motherboard? If so, what make and model of computer and motherboard do you have? -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
