how to add a bluetooth device on a bluetooth laptop

well I have a palm one (life drive) handheld, and a compaq built in laptop
presario v2000, with windows xp home sp2  but there is no option for add
bluetooth devices and I can't make my palm to recognize the pc, or on the
other way either... how I can do it?  there is something missing or other way
to conect them or what? please help

does your laptop have built-in bluetooth or has it been added?
bluetooh is not a native part of windows XP.
