Hey guys, I just got a new laptop for free. My dad works for
medicare/medicaid and they were clearing out computers unable to run XP
Office with SP3 or unable to run windows Vista.

The Laptop is a Dell Latitude CPi
Processor Speed 400 mhz
Ram 64mb or 128mb
Video Card Currently Unknown.

Thats just the basic stuff.
I have run into WEP Encryption problems with the wireless card (D-Link
connecting to Linksys router)
It gives me a 40 megabit or 128 megabit encryption required error. I am
assuming this is the router. Is this correct?

Hi

It is not clear what you are trying to connect to.

The security parameters of the client card need to match the Wireless
source.

If you use Win98SE might be that the drivers are not capable to provide
certain level of security to match newer secured system.

BTW. If you can upgrade the memory to 256MB, or more, it probably would be
able to run smoothly WinXP and you would have easier time with the Wireless.
