DHCP IssueRunning a wireless network w/ 12 In Motion and Fujitsu tablets, all clients
are running Intel Wireless 2200BG card and the access point is Cisco Aironet 1200. Set the clients to get IP via DHCP, all of them works except for 2. As soon as I assign a static IP, they connect right to the network, so it's not the network security that is blocking them. Any idea if there is anything in Windows that is stopping these 2 from DHCP? Thanks in advance. Look in System Services to see how relevant items are started, stopped, started on demand, auto etc. You can change the mode. There are logs to look at, clear them first, then there won't be so much to look through. There is packet monitoring software that will let you examine network activity. Does DHCP always fail or only intermittently, same network adapters in each machine? Stick with static addresses, Plug and Pray as well as DHCP can be flaky. I think DHCP is a one shot, if it fails or times out then it waits, and waits etc.
