WiFi connestionjust moved onto broadband at 1mb. I had a lot of problems trying to connect my desktop to the LiveBox modem but eventually managed it using ethernet conection. Desktop now works OK. My Acer portable is fitted with WiFi and initially it connected with the LiveBox OK. Yesterday I lost my incoming line for about an hour and when it came back the desktop came up OK but the portable would not connect. The WiFi icon in the tray is crossed and I get a message that the WiFi is not available. Going into the WiFi connection setup it says that the WiFi is not connected. The portable is awate of the LiveBox because it shows as a resource within range. I askes for a WEP key but when it gets the key it tries to connect but eventually say the WiFi not available. This happened quite suddenly and I suspect that the WiFi part of my portable has failed BUT, is there anything that I should be doing to turn the WiFi connection ON? I know very little about WiFi and my WinXP is in French so any help will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks -- peebs Hi
