NEWBIE NEEDS NETWORKING HELP

Network Newbie

HI there. Please bear with me as I am new to the networking game. Currently
I have a laptop connected WIRELESSLY to the internet. I am wondering if it
is possible to somehow connect my pc's tower to my laptop for use as an
external hard drive for this laptop. This tower is not connected to the
internet. What I would ideally like to do is connect my tower to my laptop
so that I can download files directly onto the pc's hardrive. I basically
want to be able to manage my music library on my pc's hardrive but use the
internet connection through my laptop. Is there a way I can view the
contents of my pc on my laptop's screen (and be able to manage my music
files) and thus share the internet connection if my tower isn't online?

You could do this in 2 ways

1. You could connect up your tower to your wireless router and share your
drive. then you could see your Tower's drive under Network Neightborhood or
Windows Explorer on your laptop

2. If you don't use your tower anymore, you could remove the harddrive and
put it in a USB Drive Enclosure and connect it to your laptop via a USB cable
