My Current network at home doesnt use an Ethernet Modem to Connect to
DSL, it uses a USB Modem.  So I have my Firewall PC acting as the
internet Gateway/DNS for my network.  Before I used to have  D-Link
router(acting as a WAP) added into the network to give wireless
capability, I was able to diable the router as the gateway and have all
wireless computers point to my firewall PC for wireless internet
access.  My D-Link Died and I purchased a Linksys Router (wrt54g).  I
set it up almost identially to my d-link except any wireless computer
that connects tries to connect to the internet using the Router as the
gateway, regardless of the default DNS i enter.  Can Anyone help me?

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi

Could be that the Linksys core IP is different and does correspond any more
to whatever you are using as a NAT agent.  Tyr to change the Linksys core IP
to the one that was used by the D-Link.

If I were you, I would "splurge" for an external Ethernet DSL Modem, and
start using the USB Modem as a Paperweight.

Example, http://www.dslmodemsdirect.com/ModemModels/5515.htm
