This is a little surprising, because even inexpensive computer speakers are usually shielded to prevent just this sort of thing. What kind of speakers do you have, and how are they connected to your sound card? I would suspect other sources of EMI, such as nearby power lines, fluorescent lamps, or other electrical equipment. Can you narrow it down by turning off various things until the noise goes away? There is, however, one category of "wireless" devices that I do know to cause audible interference -- BlackBerry. -- Lem MS MVP -- Networking To the moon and back with 64 Kbits of RAM and 512 Kbits of ROM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Guidance_Computer "Radek" <Ra***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message Happens on some appliances. In my case, the noise relates mostly to the heat of the item. When not hot, it doesn't make the noise. Maybe a desk fan running on your appliance may help if heat causes your noise.
