Hi All,

Have used the network trouble-shooter written MVP Hans-Georg Michna with
success and identified that my lack of ability to browse a home workgroup
share was because the node type was Peer to Peer. Fixed as per the
instructions and worked ok but today (a week later) I find that it is back
to P2P!!!! Don't know when it happened because this is a work laptop and I
only need to do this at weekends.

I will try the registry fix as before but any ideas how this could be
happening or how I can discover how please.

Ta.
Bill.

If you have something like an IBM laptop you might want to take a look at
your connection manager software. The IBM can be configured to change
settings, and shared resources based on location, it's possible that every
time you connect to your home network you'll need to change the registry,
unless you change the settings with in this kind of program.
