modem/router. I have turned off all security on the router... it is broadcasting the SSID. The laptop sees it as an unsecured network... however When I click it to connect... it says please wait while it connects.. but never does.... What could be the problem?

It could be that the Westell wireless is set to only allow connections only
at "G" speeds and your Laptop does not support "G" speeds. Or it could be that your Laptop is set to only connect at "G" speeds and the access point does not support "G" speeds. Another option is you Westell may have Access list enabled where the MAC address of your laptop must be registered with the Westell before it can connect. -- Show quoteHide quoteDavid Hettel Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
