Cannot Access Printer and Desktop on a Wireless Network

I'm stumped as to why my two laptops can no longer print, not find my desktop
on my wireless network. This started a couple of days ago around the time of
the IE7 Updates. I have a Dell Dimension 8400 Desktop connected to a wireless
router (Belkin 802.11G) via a Cat5 cable. The router is connected to a
Motorola cable modem via a Cat5 cable also. Both printers are connected to
the desktop using USB cables. I can access the internet from all three
machines, just can't access the desktop and printers from the two laptops so
I can print.
Prior to this both laptops (both are Dell's running Win XP Media Center
2005) could see my two printers connected to my desktop, a Dell Dimension
8400 running Win XP SP-2. The laptops have unique names, passwords, and are
in my local workgroup. As I mentioned they worked fine for many months w/o a
hitch. Now I get an Access Denied when I try to access the printers and I
can't see the desktop or printers on the network at all.
I use ZoneAlarm, and Panda Antivirus/Firewall but have been doing so for
months with no problems. I double-checked my user security settings to make
certain both laptops were there (which they were) and re-initialized my
router to make sure settings weren't corrupt. In frustration I unplugged my
cable modem, turned off ALL protection (ZoneAlarm, Spyware Doctor, Panda, and
the router's firewall) and had no luck. Still have "access denied".
If someone has an idea as to what's causing this please send it to me. Any
help is greatly appreciated.
Regards

you might try this. | Control Panel | Administrative tools | Local Security
Policy | click on the + to expand Local Policies | click on Security Options
scroll down to Network security LAN Manager authentication Level and see if
it's set to the same level in all devices, try "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2
session security if negotiated"

David:
Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately after changing the 3 PC's LAN Mgr.
settings and rebooting I'm still unable to access the desktop/printers. I can
see the desktop but that's it.
Any other ideas are appreciated.

I have a similar problem that I cannot resolve.  On the Desktop I can see the
other 2 computers but get a message denying access.  All 3 computers access
the internet.  I have changed computer names and the workgroup name but no
avail.  I'm running XP on all 3 and they all used to work.  Did you find a
solution?  thx

Ellie:
I have to answer your question with a "Yes" and a "No". I did get one laptop
printing, or more accurately one laptop started printing. Still haven't
figured how/why but it does. However, on that laptop I can't see the network
workgroup nor add a printer. You'd think if I couldn't see the network I
wouldn't be able to print, but I can.
The other laptop is still not printing, and it can't see the workgroup
either. If I figure this out I'll let you know what/how.

Ellie are you using simple file sharing, or have you added the users and
passwords from the computers you are trying to print from to the computer
with the attached printer.
