No local area connectionI recently had to reinstall windows XP Pro. I am able to get out to the
internet on my wireless connection but can not see any of the other computers or printers on our lan. I am able to ping all of them successfully as well as addresses out on the internet. My share is turned on and I have turned off the firewall live onecare. When I try to map a drive I can get as far as the workgroup but no further, not even to see itself. None of the other computers can see this one either. Any ideas???? Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed to be shared. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;304040 Jack (MVP-Networking).
