belkin wireless card installation problemModel: f5d7010
Problem: Actually I have toshiba satellite pro a40 notebook using windows xp sp 2 and i am trying to install belkin wireless card. I have succcessfully installed the driver but i am getting errror message 'No resource is free for this device error 12' what does it mean and how can i rectify that how can i know which IRQ does Belkin driver need? First realized the Belkin F5D7010 is a CardBus card and as such your laptop
must have a CardBus PCMCIA slot in order for that to work. Does yours? Check the Users Manual for your laptop for help with that... Secondly make sure you install the driver as an administrator. I have the same card and installed the V3 driver on my XP Pro SP2 Compaq Evo N610C laptop... http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,14997728 Note that Belkin advises that you use XP Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) versus the Belkin card manager to manage the card... Beyond that my card is using IRQ 11... Good luck... -- Show quoteHide quoteAl Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows Networking) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us...
