Home Network File Sharing issue

I have a home network setup with 3 XP computers (one has Pro, one has Home
Edition and the other has Media Center Edition).

All three are connected through a wireless router; one is connected to the
router using a cable.

All three computers are in the some workgroup and I have File and Printer
sharing turned on for each machine.  However, I cannot see any shared
directories or printers between machines.

I am running Norton anti-virus and the Norton Firewall.

Any ideas on what I need to do to get the file and printer sharing to
actually work?

Thanks, Allan.

You'll need to add your local network (the IP address of the gateway) to the
trusted networks in Norton firewall, see;

and also disable rules as here;
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/0/8f1540805d4ad87388256c38007c8a5e?OpenDocument

Hope that helps.

Hi David

I just had to write and say thanks.  I have been at the end of my tether
trying to connect a new laptop to my wireless network and I was having the
same problem as the original contributor and your answer sorted it for me.

Thanks again

Philip
