Connection SpeedWhen you have a simple home network set up between a desktop and a laptop.
Using an ADSL Broadband phoneline connection and a wireless router, will the speed of the shared Internet on the laptop be a lot slower than the host computer? TIA B.W. Simple question, simple answer no.
Longer answer, it depends on the quality of the connection, and what other sources of interference there are. In theory even the slowest Wi-fi connection is fastest than most normal DSL connections. Even a somewhat degraded 802.11b signal is even faster. -- Show quoteHide quoteDavid Hettel Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
