acquiring network address and dell with static ipI have static ips on my network, only the wireless card is enabled. linksys
router. wep correct, same channel, dhcp disabled and mac filtering on has anyone had the same issue? the icon states acquiring address. if i go to the network connections folder and refresh it shows connected. while acquiring address is up if I run ipconfig i see the address I assigned and can browse. any thoughts on why it is trying to get an address??? dell 5150 with xp sp2 and a intel 1350 pci card. router latest firware, xp patched and latest drivers in the card. also using the windows wireless to manage no the dell utility thanks Hi
Step 1. Switch Off the WEP on both computer and Router. Step 2. Enable the DHCP on the Router and set the TCP/IP on the computer to obtain Automatically the parameters..
