service pack 2 / wireless issuesHi all, having recently applied Win XP Pro SP2 to my laptop it is causing
serious issues with wireless networks. The laptop now cannot connect to my wireless router and is constantly saying limited or no connectivity. I have rebooted the router and proved this is not the issue by connecting via a different PC, I have disabled wireless and re-enabled, I have deleted the router within wireless networks and added it again. None of this has worked. Any ideas???? Hi
Applying SP2 installs, and switches On Windows' Firewall. It might be that the Firewall blocks the connection. Disable temporarily the Firewall and configure your Wireless. Once it is working, enable the Firewall and fine tune it to allow the Applications that you use to work through. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg0204.mspx Jack (MVP-Networking).
