How do I obtain my Wep Key so when someone comes over to my house and want's
to go online with there laptop, I can give them the key I'm running XP pro. Kathy Hi
I assume that you have a Wireless/DSL or Access Point. Log to the devices many system and look for the security setting. In the security setting you would fine an entry with the HEX string of the security (I can not be more specific since each Device as its menu system look at the manual). Copy the Hex string and save it to a text file. This String can be pasted to other computer wireless security setting. Jack (MVP-Networking). Then your guests can simply plug-in the flash drive and automatically configure their client to your network. I do that with my home wireless LAN and it works very well...
