I have the following LinkSys wireless equipment:
WPC54G  Notebook adapter
WRT54GC Broadband Router
WMB54G Music Bridge

My wireless network had been working great for several months.  Then for
some reason when I was data streaming my music, it started stuttering.
Every 10 to 16 seconds, there would be about 1 sec of silence.  Looking at
the LinkSys site, it revealed that the firmware in my router needed to be
updated.  So, I downloaded the update and installed it as instructed.  After
updating the firmware, I loaded the CD to set up the router.  It scans for
the router but cannot find it on the network.  I have tried every system and
router power down and reset possible.  Nothing seems to help.  Something
curious is I connect to the internet with ADSL.  Right now my
interconnection goes from my notebook => router => modem and I'm able to
connect to the internet.  Since the setup cannot find my router or network,
there must be a direct connect.  Also, if I try to get to my router from
192.168.1.1 it just times out.  Of course before replacing the firmware, I
would easily connect to my router through that path as well as through
setup.

Any suggestions on the best way to proceed from here will be greatly
appreciated.

Jack (MVP-Networking).
Hi
Try to Hard Reset th Router, after Hard Reset you should try to access the
device using a wired computer (Both Hard reset,  default address, ID, and
pw, should be in the Router's manual). If you can  Not access the Router
after hard reset you should seeck professional advice,
Jack (MVP-Networking).
