WPA Security ProblemHi All,
I had cause to reinstall my desktop PC after it crashed. However, I am now having an issue with trying to get it to link up with the wireless network. I have two other pcs which are seeing the network fine and I can browse the net wirelessly etc. The PC that I reinstall will only give me disabled and Wep as the two methods of data encryption. In the network authenticaiton part I am seeing Open and Shared. My problem is that the other pcs are set as WPA Pre Shared key, and this PC does not pick that up. Have I done something wrong in the installation process. I reinstalled Windows XP SP2, using a wireless Asus USB adaptor. Anyone assist? It sounds as if you haven't installed the latest drivers for your wireless
card. I suggest that you locate the latest drivers for your card, and see if that doesn't fix the problems. You'll need to get them from the manufacture site, not windows I would think. -- Show quoteHide quoteDavid Hettel Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
