Hi
You can optimize your TCP/IP.
However if you Wireless connection is very weak it would not help much.

What rate are you expecting?
I've found that you can't trust utilities that try to optimize TCP/IP.
My Verizion 768K DSL runs at half speed. I've tried several diagnostic
utilities.  They all run their tests and tell me that MAXMTU should be
1500.  Manually run fragmentation tests show the same result.
But if I manually set MAXMTU to 1000, my download speed goes up to ~700Kbps.
YMMV
