Hi,
I am looking for a solution for the problem that I can not longer connect to
my wireless internet connection. With my newest laptop I don't see any
networks in the  range -also after refresh network list - , while another
laptop is automatic connected to the wireless network. It worked before.
I am using an Acer laptop with a broadcom 802.11g network adaptor with XP
home edition.
I am open for nay hint.

Isn't there a button you need to press to activate Wireless? (Look in your
User Manual)

No there is not a seperate button.
By the way it has worked before, meaning the wireless connection was active.
But for an obscure reason there are now no wireles networks in the range.

It could be lots of things, unfortunately.

Are you broadcasting (is it enabled) your SSID on your wireless
router/access point. If it's not enabled you'll not be able to see it.

On the PC are you searching for only one SSID that is misspelled, or
different than the SSID of the wireless router / access point?

Is your wireless card turned on?

Is your wireless card set to a different mode than the access point? Is it
set to say 802.11a only? Or is it set to Ad-hoc and you need infrastructure?

I restored my system, and finally this has resolved the problem that there
are no networks found in range.
Installation of IE7 is probably the reason, because with IE6 I don't have
this problem
