I'm trying to setup my laptop w/ "Linksys EasyLink router" but I keep on
getting a message that says, "TO RUN THIS APPLICATION, YOU FIRST MUST INSTALL
ONE OF THE FOLLOWING VERSIONS OF THE .NET FRAMEWORK: v2.0.50727 CONTACT YOUR
APPLICATION PUBLISHER FOR INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT OBTAINING THE APPROPRIATE
VERSION OF THE .NET FRAMEWORK."

I'm currently on ".NET framework 1.1"

How do I know what .NET framework to download online?

Usually, apps that rely on the .NET framework supply the appropriate
version of .NET on the install CD (or initiate the download themselves).
You can get the base .NET 2.0 here (assuming you have a regular x86 system):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en

After you install this, be sure to visit Windows Update to get the
needed updates for .NET 2.0. I know that there is at least a sp1 for
..NET 2.0, but I don't know what else may be available.

*However,* you do not need the "Linksys Easy Link Adviser" (which is
what I assume you're talking about) in order to configure your router
and/or computer. You might even be better off if you took a few minutes
to understand how to configure your network manually.
