why not me, why?hello everybody, my name is Ruben I m spanish but i m living in Dublin I m
just a beginner with computers and my english is hardly understandable but i d like to tell to all of you the problem that i m having with my new laptop. I bought a Dell inspiron 1150 almost 2 months ago and came with a Dell wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI Card and with a router Netopia 3347NWG, so i expected to have connection to internet no needing any cable, but no. I tried everything as far as i know, spending hours in front of the screen, was a good training but with no results. The router should be fine cos one friend of mine could get connected with his own laptop in my house so i guess the problem is my configuration on in the wireless card. Checking in the avanced properties i saw that in "Location" there is only one country...Japan!! and i can't change the value Shall it be Ireland instead? Is that the reason? I don't know I beg your help I m sure among you there are some experts and i would really appreciate your time to answer this question and help me to enable the wireless connection at home. Thank you very much Hi,
You might need to check for an updated driver for your card on manufacturer website If the laptop has the wireless interface built-in, you might need to try to reinstall that driver from drivers CD supplied with the laptop Or check on Dell website for updated drivers for your laptop HTH, Bogdan Show quoteHide quote "Ruben" <ga***@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:28F8ECA0-241C-452F-AAD9-DD6CBA3AE466@microsoft.com... > hello everybody, my name is Ruben I m spanish but i m living in Dublin I m > just a beginner with computers and my english is hardly understandable but > i > d like to tell to all of you the problem that i m having with my new > laptop. > I bought a Dell inspiron 1150 almost 2 months ago and came with a Dell > wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI Card and with a router Netopia 3347NWG, > so i > expected to have connection to internet no needing any cable, but no. Your English is better than that of a lot of the posts from others whose native tongue is English. Don't worry about it. Besides, if anyone makes fun of you for it, just laugh to yourself as you realize that you speak at least two languages...probably more than anyone who would tease you about your English.
