Local Area Connection StatusMy connection occasionally locks up and I need to restart my 3Com modemand
Netgear wireless router. (I'm on XP Pro) I noticed that the icon on the local area connection screen that there is a 'lock' on the line that connects the monitors to the 'recieved side of the picture. I can't find any reference to what that iteration of the icon represents. Anyone ever seen this 'lock'? Hi Mike,
The lock on the network connection represents that the connection has ICF/Windows Firewall enabled. _________________ Eric Cross Microsoft MVP (Windows Networking) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Show quoteHide quote "Mike D" <Mi***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3D19F08A-333C-4785-8D2C-24861B64D545@microsoft.com... > My connection occasionally locks up and I need to restart my 3Com modemand > Netgear wireless router. occasion, so I'm not sure what I do to have it occur at all. Is ICF the same as the XP firewall?
